Welcome—Shalom and Peace
My name is Rickey A. McElderry. I am a country boy from Iowa who crossed over in faith when I was very young, before the age of 10. My life has taken me through childhood hardship, military service, depression, spiritual experiences, relationship disasters, business failures, religious disappointment, personal failure, and a lifelong search for truth. Now, in retirement, I have the time to examine Scripture more carefully. This website is the record of that journey. It is part testimony, part Bible study, part warning, and part invitation to return to the ancient paths. I believe we are witnessing the great falling away described in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. Yet I also believe the Creator is calling the remnant to return to His Word, His commandments, and the Hebrew foundations of the faith.
My Journey Began Early
My search for truth began long before retirement. It began in childhood. I was raised in a Southern Baptist church, where I encountered a painful contradiction early. I wanted to bring my Black friends to Sunday school, but the preacher told me they could not attend because “they have their own church.” As a child, I knew something was wrong. A church preaching the Creator’s love was rejecting my friends because of their skin color. That experience taught me that a preacher can stand behind a pulpit, hold a Bible, and still defend injustice. It also planted a lifelong question: how much of what churches teach comes from Scripture, and how much comes from tradition, culture, prejudice, politics, and institutional power? My abridged testimony recounts the Creator’s preservation of my life, my military experiences, struggles, failures, and the road that led me to the Hebrew roots of the faith.
The Secret Was Covenant
Through my studies, I began uncovering what I call the secrets of the Kingdom—not hidden truths, but teachings present in Scripture all along. They seemed secret because, despite a lifetime in American Christianity, I had never been taught them. At the center was covenant—a blood covenant.
Covenant is more than repeating a prayer, attending services, or professing belief while living by our own desires. It is a binding relationship built on loyalty, repentance, obedience, sacrifice, responsibility, and faithfulness.
In return, covenant offers far more than religious routine: security, trust, mutual commitment, divine protection, reconciliation, restoration, and assurance of belonging to Elohim. These are what people deeply seek, yet often fail to find within the structures and traditions of American religion.
The Creator calls His people to live differently because they belong to Him. Covenant shapes worship, relationships, business, care for the poor and vulnerable, and the pursuit of justice and mercy. This understanding transformed how I read Scripture and understand the Kingdom.

This website is not affiliated with any denomination, political party, or religious organization. It reflects my personal testimony, independent study, and continuing search for truth in the Hebrew Scriptures. I do not ask readers to accept what I write without examination; test the Scriptures, test the spirits, investigate the historical setting, study the covenant, listen to Jewish voices, and seek the Father with humility and discernment.
The Hebrew Bible came through Israel, and the New Covenant writings emerged from that same Jewish world. Understanding this Hebrew, Jewish, historical, and cultural foundation is essential to understanding Scripture. The hour is late, but the invitation remains open: return to the ancient paths, return to covenant, and return to the Torah. Shalom—Peace.
