That Day Shall Not Come!

“Let no one deceive you in any way, for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first…” – 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Rebellion must come first
Rebellion Must Come First

I was re-reading some of my post and came across this verse: Thessalonians 2:3 I came upon this verse after reading several of my post. I am shocked and surprised by how numb people have become towards politics and their belief in the divine.

I know every generation in history has declared they are the ones to see the return or the first coming of the Messiah. Even the Apostles thought they would see the return of the Messiah in their life time. So how are we, the modern day teacher, disciple, child of the All-Mighty, suppose to react when this comment is thrown at us, when spreading the good-news of the Messiah’s coming.

Two things: Israel and the Jewish people. The apple of God’s eye, Israel, more than a land or a people, but chosen by God. The promised land, Israel, is our indicator. The promises, the commandments, the Torah, given to and recorded in the form of the Torah, by the Jewish people, and exclusively for the Jewish people. The Jews wrote the bible.

Abandoning Western, Capitalistic, Man-Made, American-Religion, A.K.A. –the lawless-ones– The apostle Paul called them god haters in II Thessalonians. I recently started attending a Jewish Temple. Yes, the first time ever for me and it was a little scary. B/c I did not know what to expect. Commonly known as the fear of the unknown. But it all worked out. The Rabbi was nice, but with caution. I was welcomed in after completing the visitors form. Common stuff like, name, address, phone number. Nothing to complicated. Even American Jews are weary, and with righteous justification.

It wasn’t long before I realized that I was on the right path: God sent. The Hebrew language, the Celebrations, The Torah: All dating back more then three thousand years, and still, for the most part, practiced today in Jewish Temples all around the world! For example, we worship on Saturday, not pagan Sunday. I was and still am, and will be until the his coming, thrilled to have a connection and to be welcomed into this community. Shalom.
